    Queen Street Mall

     

    Located only two blocks from The Sebel, the Queen Street Mall is the very heart of Brisbane shopping. The location for everything from designer boutiques to major chain and department stores, this is Brisbane's favourite destination for retail therapy.

    Kangaroo Point Cliffs

     

    Located just across the river from the CBD and Botanic Gardens and a short walk from South Bank, the Kangaroo Point Cliffs are a breathtaking sight day or night. Offering a range of recreational options, including open spaces, BBQs and picnic areas, the cliffs also feature popular abseiling and rock climbing possibilities.

    Roma Street Parkland

     

    The world's larget subtropical garden in a city centre, the Roma Street Parkland is a 16ha oasis adjacent to the CBD, opposite Brisbane City Hall. The parklands feature a variety of themed gardens and recreational areas, an open air amphitheatre, a web of pathways and boardwalks traversing cascading waterways and rocky outcrops and an array of local art and sculpture.

    Brisbane Lookout, Mt Coot-tha

     

    Forming the backdrop to Brisbane, and offering one of the best panoramic views of the city, is Mt Coot-tha - Brisbane's highest point. A short drive from the CBD, Mt Coot-tha is at the centre of a 200ha reserve with walking trail and hiking options, with the summit and lookout also housing a unique cafe/restaurant/kiosk as well as a function centre.

    Brisbane Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens

     

    The Brisbane Botanic Gardens at Mt Coot-tha are Queensland's premier subtropical Botanic Gardens. These 52-hectare gardens are situated seven kilometres from the city centre.

    Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium

     

    The Planetarium is also located at Mt Coot-tha and is home to an observatory, theatre, display zone and Cosmic Skydone attraction.

    Car, taxi, train, ferry, bus or bike - the transport options are many and varied to get where you need to go in Brisbane. The city centre lends itself to walking - with all major attractions, activities, shopping and dining located close to the CBD.

    Brisbane Buses

     

    The Loop is a free bus service that runs through Brisbane's CBD. It has numerous major stops including Central Station, Queen Street Mall, Botanic Gardens, Riverside Centre, QUT and King George Square. Suburban Brisbane is also well-serviced by bus routes and busways operating from the CBD to most suburbs.

    Brisbane CityCats and Ferries

     

    As well as being a spectacular feature of the city, the Brisbane River serves as an efficient public transport system. CityCat services operate from 5.50am to 10.30pm every day.

    Brisbane CityTrains

     

    The Citytrain network extends from the centre of Brisbane south to Beenleigh and Robina on the Gold Coast, north to Ferny Grove, Shorncliffe, Caboolture and Gympie, east to Cleveland and west to Ipswich and Rosewood. The closest station to the hotel is Central Station.

    Brisbane AirTrain

     

    Offering a direct service from the city to the airport in 20 minutes, AirTrain is the Brisbane city to airport rail link with stations at both international and domestic terminals.
