Noosa Main Beach
One of Australia's only North facing Beaches

Noosa Main Beach is one of Australia's premier beaches. Build sand castles in the golden sand or swim in the protected waters of Laguna Bay. Enjoy the views to the national park, and maybe see the dolphins playing in the clear, blue waters. The waves at Noosa's Main Beach are rarely over one metre high, and the flat sandy bottom is ideal for beginners to the world of surfing. Relatively calm conditions prevail due to the beach facing north - one of the few beaches in Queensland to do so. The Noosa Surf Lifesaving Club patrols Noosa Main Beach every day of the year.

Noosa National Park
Magnificent views, magnificent walks and magnificent wildlife

Noosa National Park features spectacular coastal scenery and provides an important refuge for native wildlife including the koala, glossy black cockatoo, ground parrot and wallum froglet. Some of south-east Queensland's most picturesque coastline can be seen in Noosa National Park. The park includes the popular scenic headland at Noosa Heads, parts of Lake Weyba (a large, shallow, saltwater lake in the Noosa River system), Emu Mountain and coastal lowlands extending south towards Coolum.
Several easy to moderate walking tracks wind along the coast, through rainforest and open woodlands and across colourful wallum heath and sedgelands. Longer tracks lead out through open forest and heath, where a great variety of wildflowers can be observed in winter and spring.
