Meet our Chef - Matthew Jeffries
Head Chef Matthew Jeffries brings a wealth of culinary experience and knowledge to the table at Jarrah Restaurant & Bar.
Matthew joined the team at Quay West Suites Melbourne hotel in 2010 from Etihad Stadium where he ran the Corporate Suites Dining kitchens and the exclusive Diamond Club.
In recent years Matthew has held Executive Chef roles on Magnetic Island at Peppers Blue on Blue Resort and Peppers Casuarina Lodge in the Byron Hinterlands. Other positions include Senior Chef roles at some of Australia's best known hotels and premium restaurants including Hotel Windsor and The Lake House in Daylesford
Matthew creates seasonal menus that focus on quality produce. Dishes are elegant and inventive, using classical and traditional cooking methods combined with contemporary flavours and ingredients.
