The Story Behind the 'Como Duck'
The Como Melbourne hotel will undergo a multi-million dollar refurbishment from 9 April until 31 August 2012.
Minimal disturbance to guests will occur during the renovation of this Melbourne icon.

The Como Duck is a favourite and much loved amenity amongst our guests.
The duck insignia is used in all aspects of the hotel and is particularly special to those who have already experienced The Como Melbourne.
When The Como opened in 1989, feedback from a hotel guest stated - "If only my rubber duck was in the bath tub, I would feel that I have returned to my home away from home." From this evolved our practice of placing a Como Duck in all guest suites.
Today, Como Duck has become the much cherished icon of The Como Melbourne and stands for everything Como - something special and a little different from the rest.
